Oh it does take me back, 90’s of course because ‘Lay Low’ takes its cues from the dream and jangle pop era. Beach Vacation’s success comes via the playing in the first instance but also in the almost out of range vocals, which add even more emotional context to how it feels to call a fluffy cloud your home. It could make dreamers out of us all and that is something that needs to be celebrated. KH
