Joe Jonas helped a Jonas Brothers band member say “I do” on Sunday night (Oct. 29) — in front of thousands of fans.
In a video shared to TikTok by user @recessionobsession, the sibling trio stopped their concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., to share what happened when they asked their percussionist, Molly Lopresti, to go on tour with them this year. “Look, I’d love to go on tour with you guys, but the only problem is I’m supposed to get married to my fiancé, Nick [Shirm],” Joe explained to the crowd that Molly told the brothers.
“We said, ‘Let’s figure this out, we gotta help them out in some way. If only we knew an ordained minister on this tour,’” Joe teased, implying that he is an ordained minister. “Oh wait, [we do].”
To the surprise of the cheering audience, Joe then called Shirm to join his fiancée on stage, and the latter recalled that he met Lopresti at school nine years ago, when he “saw her walking across the student union and I thought, ‘Yeah, she might be the one.’”
The ceremony was then underway, with a makeshift onstage “aisle.” After the exchange of vows and rings, Joe declared Lopresti and Shirm husband and wife before the newlyweds sweetly shared their first kiss as a married couple. The Jonas Brothers then fittingly performed their 2007 hit love song, “When You Look Me in the Eyes,” for their first dance.
