Huckleberryfinn Re-record and Re-release A Man Who Looks Like Me. An Album Reborn 24 Years After Its Original Release.

Huckleberryfinn is a band with a history that goes back to 1998. My own experience with the band’s music was from 2007 to 2011. The band’s last studio full length was in 2022, but the band has remained active throughout the years with singles, OST songs, and 2023 live album set.

While labels will go back and remaster or remake old albums, it’s not common to see or hear a band actively go back and re-record an album. Huckleberryfinn decided that their second full length, A Man Who Looks Like Me, wasn’t an accurate representation of what they wanted the album to be.

According to Lee Ki-yong (and Google Translate), “Huckleberryfinn has a musical goal and direction to leave familiarity behind and move towards novelty. The re-recording of the 2nd album is not a return to the past, but a new attempt to reinterpret our roots from a current perspective.”

Along with the re-release, Huckleberryfinn is holding two concerts.
