Over a regular week, I preview, scan, or deep dive into around 30 or so singles, at least 10 to 20 EPs and full lengths. When I first heard dusom‘s music, I thought it was easygoing and mellow indie pop.
But as I listen through the 10 songs on Lucky Courier and learning that this is her first full length, it’s worth taking a deeper listen.
dusom has been active as a producer since 2021, collaborating with various artists – notably producing the solo single of Dawon, guest vocalist of Seogyo-dong’s Night. With this album, dusom steps forward as a full singer-songwriter,
writing, composing, arranging, and even handling string and brass arrangements herself.
Press Release
Moving from producer to solo singer-songwriter feels like a natural step. The question is: does dusom have something interesting in her music? From my first playthrough, there’s something interesting here.
Lucky Courier contains 10 tracks that reveal subtle emotions within everyday life. The title track “Sunday” expresses the light, heart-warming feeling that quietly fills an ordinary day, while “See U Again” tells the story of familiar strangers who meet every day on the same subway train. Other tracks such as “Synchronicity,” “Walk,” “Goopy,” “To You Today,” and “Neverland” deliver messages of comfort and small miracles.
Press Release
Lucky Courier was released on October 25, 2025. Give it a listen and/or wait for our review.
