Cast of Broadway Musical KPOP To Host Pride Event in New York: Love Songs For Pride

Bridging the end of AAPI Heritage Month and the beginning of Pride Month, cast members of the Tony Award nominated Broadway musical, KPOP, will be hosting a one-night only event together at The Green Room 42 in New York. Love Songs For Pride will feature Abraham Lim, Kevin Woo from U-KISS, MIN from MISS A, Marina Kondo, and Patrick Park, as they perform a variety of music ranging from musical numbers to original songs and unreleased tracks. The event is a celebration of love, and serves as a a message of love from the AAPI community to the LGBTQ+ community.

First stepping into the scene as a competitor on The Glee Project, Abraham Lim has acted in a variety of shows, including Netflix’s Clickbait and Amazon Prime’s The Boys. He made his Broadway debut with KPOP, and is a strong advocate for representation in Western media.

Kevin Woo originally debuted as a member of kpop boy group U-KISS, and has since launched a successful solo career here in the U.S. He is a singer-songwriter, and dedicates his craft to his South Korean heritage and resilience. KPOP was his Broadway debut.

She’s performed all around the world, and has performed in several musical tours, including Disney’s Frozen, where she played the first Asian-American Anna. KPOP was her official Broadway debut.

Patrick Park is a member of East2West, a dance group on YouTube that posts covers of various kpop choreographies. He’s acted in a few musicals and shows before, but KPOP was also his official Broadway debut.

Tickets range from $29-$59 for the performance for in-person attendees, and are $19 for livestream attendees. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the LGBT Center of NYC, and all in-person attendees will receive a complimentary gift from Korean-owned skincare brand KraveBeauty.
